About Eva M. Fernandez, LMSW
Hello, and thank you for stopping by. I’m Eva M. Fernandez, a Latina professional and the founder of Compassionate Consulting. My path has always been guided by a deep commitment to helping others. That commitment first led me into social work and higher education, and today, it continues to shape the way I serve individuals and organizations.
As a second-generation college graduate, I know firsthand how education and advocacy can transform lives. Since 2017, I have worked as a coach and consultant, supporting people from every background, including executives, engineers, social workers, tech professionals, first-time supervisors, students beginning their first jobs, military service members, and at-risk youth. In addition to my consulting work, I also apply my expertise daily in my role at a university career services office. Before launching Compassionate Consulting, I spent more than two decades building my expertise in social work, fundraising, and higher education. Each of these experiences has shaped the way I approach my work today, blending advocacy, strategy, and compassion.
In my coaching practice, I lead with a strengths-based and non-judgmental perspective. As a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach, I believe career success is about more than landing a job. It is about resilience, growth, and meaningful connection. When I founded Compassionate Consulting, one of my goals was to bring more representation and diversity into the coaching market, creating a space where all voices and stories are valued. My mission is to help people and organizations tap into their strengths, build confidence, and create opportunities for themselves and their communities.
Outside of my consulting work, I am also writing a book, Compassionate Disruptor: A Latina’s Nontraditional Social Work Path, which will be released in 2026. Through this project, I am sharing my personal journey and the lessons I have learned along the way, with the hope of encouraging others to find their own voice and path.
